Mine is Vitamin Angels.
In 2001, when I first started working with Howard Schiffer, founder of Vitamin Angels, hundreds of thousands of children were going blind because they didn’t get enough Vitamin A in their diets. At least half of them died. And around the globe, hundreds of millions more were at risk of contracting Vitamin A deficiency blindness.
What I learned next floored me. Nobody is looking for a cure. We already have it. All we need to do is administer two megadoses of Vitamin A to each child per year. And all it costs is 25 cents per kid.
We created a program with the goal of eradicating Vitamin A deficiency childhood blindness on the planet. Last year we provided vitamins to more than 70 million children. We did it with the help of people like you who know they can save a child’s life by donating a quarter. And the more quarters you can give, the more kids you’ll save.
